Trellis Bay was our first overnight stop - we found ourselves already in awe of the rich green mountainous beauty and the crystal blue transparent water. We did a little snorkeling, Vickie found a starfish, not like the ones you see on the Gulf Coast, this one was a thick brown with a thorny surface and since he was still obviously alive we threw him back into the water.  The young lady on the dinghy is "Anouk" she is originally from Quebec, not sure how she wound up in the BVI, but she was peddling her wares, very bright handmade jewelry, brightly colored peliguins, parrots, fish and the like. I bought a peliguin necklace for Shannan (our Daughter) to where to work at Trader Vic's ( a Caribbean restaurant back home). Later a young man with a dog came by in a dinghy to collect the mooring fee for the night. He explained that the dog was a singer and in fact part of the night club act at The Last Resort Restaurant and Bar.  Since we had nothing else to do we decided to check it out after we ate dinner. It turned out to be quite interesting, the building was originally a Spanish Fort used during war time and since had been converted into a restaurant. It was pretty much open to air so dogs, cats and a donkey roamed in and out. They had a singer - very Jimmy Buffet style who was quite entertaining and sure enough at one point in the evening he called the dogs  up on stage they sang a song while he played his guitar. You really had to see it to appreciate it's humor - it was pretty funny. Bill was laughing so hard he couldn't take any pictures. We did ask for an encore but they wouldn't perform - I guess they don't get asked that often. The next morning we went over to Marina Cay to replenish our ice supply and take a stroll. The restaurant and hotel at Marina Cay is beautifully landscaped and we got our first of many glimpse of colorful tropical flowers. After our stroll we headed back to set sail for our next destination, the Dogs for a little snorkling and then Cane Garden Bay.
